What is First Friends anyway? First Friends is a fellowship ministry for boomers to seniors. The group usually meets once a month for lunch out, a day trip, or lunch and a program at the church. Some recent activities have included a trip to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, lunch at the Back Porch in Destin, and a day in Fairhope, Alabama for an arts and crafts festival.
How do I get involved? To get involved, or learn more about First Friends, simply come to one of our gatherings. All are welcome! Our next meeting will be Monday, August 2, at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served by the church; just call the church office before noon on Thursday, July 29 to let us know you are coming. The cost for the meal is $4 per person. Katie Ott will present a special music program after the meal. Her inspiring musical talent will touch your heart and bring a tear to your eye.
